June 12th, 2008 - R.L. Nunley Intro to Fly Fishing
We are now accepting names and contact information for those interested in learning the sport of fly fishing taught by bamboo fly rod maker, Bob Nunley. Classes will begin in the morning here at Blue Ribbon (technically in the Anglers Coffee Cafe next door) which includes equipment requirements, casting lessons, knots, and a brief understanding of fly selection and entomology. Immediately following is a half day guided trip by Bob Nunley himself. Once on the water Bob will demonstrate a number of casting techniques, how to read water, and how to effectively fish multiple scenarios. Classes are limited to (2) students each and are based on a first come, first serve basis. This is a perfect opportunity for a husband and wife duo, two buddies, or if you don't have a partner we'll pair you up with one. Only two students per class makes for an intimate learning experience. The dates and times are dictated by demand and Bob's schedule. The cost is $375 and equipment is provided for the day. If you are someone you know is interested, please contact us by replying to this e-mail, blueribbonflyfish@hotmail.com, or call us at the shop 870-425-0447. In the meantime you can learn more about Bob by visiting his website;http://www.rlnunley.com/photos.htm
